My name is Michael Kiser. As a counselor here in the upstate I focus on helping people alleviate suffering and build a more meaningful life through the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

By developing practical skills, CBT helps individuals gain both immediate relief from intense emotions and deeper insight into the underlying beliefs and habits that keep them stuck. This process supports meaningful, lasting change.

CBT is one of the most well-researched and studied therapies that has been shown to be effective in alleviating problems in a wide variety of mental health issues. It is often considered to be the “gold standard” in psychotherapy.
